The Kakimori Pen Rest - Japanese Cherry Wood - Tokushima Indigo - Dark Blue is hand-dyed with multiple layers of natural indigo, a centuries-old Japanese dye originating from the Tokushima region. The colour is carefully applied by Maito Design Works, a studio specialising in plant-based dyeing techniques. The result is a deep dark blue tone that gradually lightens to a vivid indigo hue with use. The pen rest is finished with a protective layer of beeswax, sealing the colour and giving the surface a gentle sheen.
