The Platinum Balance Fountain Pen - Crystal Blue is a slim, classic fountain pen with a simple cigar shape and a snap-on cap. The body is made of resin and finished with gold-plated accents, including details on the cap and at the transition to the grip section. This gives the pen a calm, timeless appearance without unnecessary decoration.
The gold-plated steel nib writes smoothly and lays down a full, consistent line. This is not a flex nib: the nib is firm, but not completely rigid. With slightly increased pressure, the line can become very subtly broader. The cap has a snap closure and can be placed on the back of the pen while writing.
For ink filling, this pen is compatible with Platinum SPSQ-400 and SPN100-A cartridges (see ‘Recommended refills’) and with a Platinum converter, allowing you to use bottled ink.
